GREEN is an organized group of pro-education residents who
are interested in providing the best possible support to the Greene
County school system.
Our mission statement:
We believe it is absolutely essential to support excellence in education
for the county's children, now and in the future.
Our goals:
Our goal is to support Greene County schools through the following:
- Increasing funding for the schools
- Having a say in decisions the county makes regarding the schools
- Gaining greater awareness of what is happening in the schools
- Providing more factual information about the schools to the
public in general
- Pursuing other sources of financial support for the schools
and establishing a nonprofit foundation to assist the schools
- Communicating internally with each other and externally with
the Board of Supervisors and other public organizations on a regular
basis
- Publicizing volunteer opportunities to assist the schools
If you support our goals, please consider joining us. We will keep
you informed about school-related issues, voting opportunities,
and other related events as we work with the School Board and the
Board of Supervisors for the benefit of our schools. In return,
you will be given an opportunity to have an impact on decisions
that are made for Greene County schools.
